| Victoria’s Fastest Growing Show’n’Shine Event 5 October 2008 | | Lovers of rare and classic cars will enjoy the fabulous day out offered by the annual Euroa Show & Shine. Set amidst the beautiful parkland on the Seven Creeks, in the heart of this historic country town. The event showcases over 1,150 rare, veteran, vintage, classic, custom and special interest vehicles and motor bikes.
The annual display features veteran, vintage, classic, custom and modified cars, hot rods and motor cycles. Proud owners of these vehicles descend on Euroa on the first weekend in October to display their pride and joy, participate in scenic drives through the Strathbogie Ranges, and enjoy regional food and wines and great entertainment.
This year the Euroa Show & Shine will incorporate a community market, model sailboats, remote control yachts, art, miniature railway, tours of the Strathbogie Ranges, as well as a number of boutique wineries opening their doors in the ‘Farm Gates and Shed Doors” event.
The Euroa Show & Shine is a great day out for the whole family. With plenty of entertainment for the kids including the famous ‘rocker-cover races’, jumping castle, farm animals, as well as live entertainment and fabulous food and wine. Visitors can gaze at the high tech modern cars and then walk a few steps and be transported back in time with vintage and classic vehicles.
Euroa, and the surrounding Strathbogie Ranges high country, is ideally positioned as a destination for road touring. The region’s proximity to Melbourne via the Hume Freeway is an easy day trip or weekend getaway for the car enthusiast. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Ranges, visit award winning gardens as well as visiting a growing selection of boutique wineries, restaurants, alpaca farms and tours of the secret places such as a crystal mine at Tallangalook.
With its granite-topped mountains the region is undoubtedly one of Victoria’s most diverse and ruggedly beautiful landscapes. Less well known, but equally impressive, is the area’s amazing abundance of fresh produce, the quality of its wines and, increasingly, the restaurants and food stores that are taking advantage of all the good stuff being produced around them.
The historic township of Euroa is most famous for its role in the Kelly story when Ned and his gang robbed the Euroa Bank. The Farmer’s Arms Hotel Museum in Kirkland Ave is well worth a visit to learn more about this tale and also the town’s rich history as a fine merino wool growing district.
The Euroa Show & Shine brings car clubs and enthusiasts from around the state to Euroa to exhibit their vehicles and spend a weekend with friends in an historic and charming township.

| Shannon’s’ Super Rig Set to Shine | | Also at the Show ‘n’ Shine this year will be the Shannon’s’ Super Rig. Motoring enthusiasts will rev their engines at the sight of Shannon’s’ new ‘Super Rig’, which hit the road in July, in a travelling road show set to span the country.
Comprising an impressive 21-metre long truck and trailer unit, the Super Rig unfolds into an eight metre by eight-metre state-of-the-art hospitality, entertainment and information centre. It has a roof-top deck, barbecue facilities and plasma screens, making it prime position for viewing the Shown ‘n’ Shine.
For those who are impressed by the latest gizmos, there are state-of-the-art driving simulators and gaming consoles on board, making the Shannon’s’ Super Rig an entertainment hub wherever it travels.
The Super Rig will also feature a display of motoring memorabilia and special vehicles – including the iconic Goggomobil Dart that has featured in Shannon’s’ advertising.
